Pennsylvania Writes for Kids

The Library System of Lancaster County has launched a campaign to celebrate Pennsylvania children's authors, and here's how SCBWI members can get involved:

1.  The PENNSYLVANIA WRITES FOR KIDS flyer has just been developed by the Library System of Lancaster County.  Librarians here will be distributing it in their branches and invite you to make copies and help spread the word.
If your name -- or the name of someone else, living or dead -- is not included, please send me the pertinent information -- name, book title(s), Web site URL -- and I'll pass it on.  The flyer will be updated periodically.

2.  You'll note that the flyer cites the URL for America Writes for Kids (http://usawrites4kids.drury.edu).  If you live in PA and your Web site is not linked to the PA page of America Writes for Kids, please send me the URL for consideration.  There is no charge for links, nor do you need to have a link to be included on the flyer.

3.  The Library System of Lancaster County would like to continue its celebration of PA authors by having children's authors visit library branches next summer.  Honoraria and expenses would be negotiated between each author and individual branch or branches.  Booksales are welcome, and the library does not need to take a cut.  If you'd like to be considered for a library visit, please send me your pertinent info -- name, book title(s), e-mail address and/or Web site URL -- and I'll pass it on.
THANK YOU!
