Making Picture Books - A Workshop for Children'sBook Writers and Illustrators
Rosenbach Center
Philadelphia, PA

In conjunction with the Sendak exhibition, From Pen to Publisher, we have organized a day-long course about the making of a picture book. This course is offered in collaboration with the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and is appropriate for experts and novices alike. Children's book author and illustrator, Gene Barretta, will be the keynote speaker. Mr. Barretta is the author of a large number of books for children, including Zoola Palooza (2011), Dear Deer (2010), and Now and Ben (2009).

Saturday (11/3) will be the 3rd annual Critique Fest and each attendee participates in a round table critique group and has 3 professional critiques with an editor, agent, and author. This event is encouraged for seasoned writers.
