Elvira
Woodruff
Elvira Woodruff is an author living in Martins Creek,
Pennsylvania. She has written over twenty books for children. Her books
have won many state awards and her historical fiction is often used
in school curriculums (George Washington's Socks, Dear Levi, Letters
From The Overland Trail, Dear Austin, Letters From The Underground Railroad,
The Memory Coat, The Orphan of Ellis Island, The Magnificent Mummy Maker,
etc etc.).
She has been visiting schools and giving workshops on the craft of writing
through out the country. Because Elvira writes picture books as well
as novels she is capable of speaking to an entire school, kindergarten
on up to eighth grade. And because her background includes storytelling
in a library she is comfortable presenting to groups of various sizes.
